LOS ANGELES, CA – It’s always refreshing when an artist utilizes their platform for the betterment of society. New Jersey-based rapper Bloody Mary has set out to do just that, through spreading positivity and encouragement for those who closely listen to her music.
Bloody Mary was inclined to music when she was 5, started writing at 13 and made her entrance into the music industry in 2016. The artist has made it her goal to use her innate talents for the greater good. This alone is symbolic, as it serves as a reason why so many fans have gravitated toward her music in such a short period of time.
After mentally buckling down in her career, Bloody Mary “just went for it”, in her own words. “I went through a very traumatic experience,” said the rapper. “After losing important aspects of my life, I channeled my thoughts and put them into music and lyrics.” Not many people can perpetually turn lemons into lemonade without effort, and furthermore, turn it into art. However, a versatile artist like Bloody Mary never loses sight of the end goal.
In what she refers to as her “Intro to the World”, Bloody Mary released her first major project titled “Queen of the Mary’s”. When asked about the inspiration behind the project, the rapper refers to the unique gifts she possesses. “It’s about my divine guidance as an artist and a woman,” said Bloody Mary. “I went from not knowing a whole lot to getting ahead at such a fast pace. Now, so many people listen to my music.” Elated due to the level of success her first major project achieved, she continued on with her studio sessions to create the best music possible.
Bloody Mary’s introduction to the world is her first single titled “Bloody’s Anthem”. This was followed by “Side Bitches”. “‘Bloody’s Anthem’ lets the world know who I am. And for “Side Bitches”… it’s poppin’. I know this record is going to receive a lot of attention,” said the artist. Well, of course both singles will quickly catch the ears of the artist’s fans and supporters.
Her first major project was “Queen of The Mary’s”. Up next for Bloody Mary is “Hail Mary”, another major project due out in 2018. Though everyone who listens to it will be able to capture their individual takeaways, “Hail Mary” will be influentially beneficial for women of all ages. “‘Hail Mary’ is about me coming into my power and divinity as a woman after everything I’ve been through,” said Bloody Mary. “I continue to beat the odds.” At the end of the day, the female rapper’s desire is for women to feel completely empowered after listening to her music, and become inspired to overcome life’s obstacles just as she has. By presenting herself as a genuine, relatable artist and performer, she hopes her supporters and listeners will accept her spiritual gift of advice as they navigate the game of life.
As she expands her platform, through her non-profit organization Order of the Mother Star, she plans to continue uplifting the modern woman. “I’m able to help guide people in the right direction by using my gifts to help other people,” said the artist. Bloody Mary may be using her gifts in everyday life, but the real gift is her incomparable presence in the music industry.
